Your video presentations are very informative. Thank you very much. In one of the videos (Voilence in Chritianity and Islam) you told that "....Even Lord Krishna has asked Arjuna to kill his fellow beings.....". I really cannot join this view since I read SriMad Bhagavath Geetha well. Instead, Lord Sri Krishna advised Arjuna to fight the war HAVING REACHED THE BATTLE FIELD AFTER A WAR IS AGREED UP ON WITH THE OPPONENTS. There is a sharp difference. Lord Krishna and ofcourse others have tried their level best to avoid the war. But in no way it could be avoided and a point has reached where war is essential to be fought. Now, having reached that situation and having agreed up on so, after reaching the battle field, ARJUNA IS SUPPOSED TO FIGHT AND NOT TO RUN AWAY OUT OF COWARDICE. So, here, i.e., in the battle field, as a soldier, Arjuna is supposed to PERFORM HIS DUTY (in the most practical sense) and NOT supposed to run away. This is NOT due to any cruelty BUT due to one's duty as a soldier in the battle field. Imagine a situation where a war became essential between two nations say India & Pakistan. Bothy the armies have came to the battle field and the war is supposed to start at any time. Then, suddenly, suppose OUR country's soldiers say that they donot want to fight because so many people will be killed on the otherside and THEY SAY THEY WANT TO RUNAWAY FROM THE BATTLE FIELD. HOW DO YOU EVALUATE THEIR STAND?? THEY THINK GOOD?? OR STUPID?? Dr.Paul, please think about it!!
Having legitimately reached the battlefield, a soldier is supposed to perform his duty to his country. SUPPOSE HE DIES ON THE BATTLE FIELD, HOW DO THE COUNTRY TREAT HIM?? Country will be proud and will REWARD HIM WITH 'PARAMA VEERA CHAKRA'. Is it not?? Why?? His performance in the war is NOT due to his selfish desire and is perfectly a matter of duty to his country. It is NOT at all a selfish act. It is for a higher cause, i.e., to protect his country. He deserves PARAM VEERA CHAKRA. Suppose the same person shoots another person unlawfully OUTSIDE THE BATTLE FIELD, then HE WILL BE PUNISHED UNDER THE COURT OF LAW PROBABLY WITH A DEATH SENTENCE. Dr.Paul, now, you might have understood the contextual meaning of Lord Krishna's advise to Arjuna to do his duty in the war field, i.e., to fight. He should NOT runaway being a warrior in the battle field.
Dr.Paul, I have esteemed respect for Holy Bible. I tried to understand it. But, as an Indian brother, I suggest you to please throughly study our scriptures (Sanata Dharma) too. Please read AUTHENTIC TRANSLATIONS ONLY. I'm sure it will help you to gain better insight into all the other scriptures as well.
Dr.Paul, I like you very much as a person. Thats why I took time to send you this message. I'm happy if it helps you. MAY GOD BLESS YOU & YOUR FAMILY ALWAYS.
Thank you very much for patently reading my message.
May All beings in this world (and also in all the other worlds) be happy. May Peace & Happiness prevail.
Warm regards, love & prayers,
